Society Now - Lexor Cerda
Today’s assignment is to review and reflect over one of Gerhard Haderer’s cartoons, many of the cartoons published were over how society currently is. Never did I imagine that this is the way us as a whole would be portrayed, it looks awful and a bit over exaggerated, yet he is accurate over the portrayal. There's one piece that really did bring my attention, it's a group of sad men and women purchasing a smile (Happiness). Afterwards they get out of line with a mask over their face with a wide bright smile. Personally I believe this symbolizes that in some cases people believe that money buys happiness, where this is not the case. Perhaps there's a great amount of satisfaction to it, but truly there is no such thing as being able to purchase it. With all the many things that can brought in modern times, people create this ideology and Haderer depicts it very well. Monday, April 16, 2018
Top Things To Save Money
There's many things that could save me money in the future in the long run, i've thought about these things either by common knowledge or experience. The first thing I would do, is more than likely not use unneeded electricity, Turn off all unnecessary things. When I go grocery shopping I would make a list of all the essential things I need, so I could not waste my time or buy unneeded things. If I would like to go out, I would go out with my friends at their house rather than, spending money on something expense. I would keep my current vehicle, due to it being paid for by my parents, and due to the long amount of mileage it takes at the very cheap price it is for gas. Become very resourceful with my time, and concentrate over the important things.
Always have a budget within everything I do, organization is key, when saving is involved. I would also share things, be it the rent or splitting the check for the food. That's how I would save up money coming out of high school.

Changes in Vanguard - Lexor Cerda
I've only been at vanguard for a total of four years, they were not consistent years I was privileged to experience both middle school and high school here, but they've brought me great memories with very memorable people. There is a lot of things that have changed over the years. The students feel much more united compared to what I remember in middle school. The staff is still phenomenal with having care for its students, focusing on improving us, rather than tearing us down. The school has always exceeded my expectations, bringing in new staff members I wasn't familiar with as soon as I arrived here Junior year, Including new and old ones that were introduced into both my last year and Junior year. These members have brought joy into the learning experience, and I cannot thank these members enough. The one predicament I was drawn to was a situation dealing with the “sports league” change. We became apart of the UIL league, although it's great that Vanguard is improving, but it almost diminished my chances to play varsity soccer. Overall the school has changed through the years for the better, and continues to improve.
how vanguard academy has changed.
I've been in vanguard academy since i was in Pre-K. I feel like this school has change a lot. I remember that this school started of with mobile homes. The rooms were super tiny that we barley had any room to walk around. Throught the years of being in this school i've had to deal with a lot of hate, people telling me crap and etc. I remember i had this teacher in Pre-K that hated me. she would always make lies to get me in trouble. she once made a lie so bad that the school called the cops so they can take me to the detention center in edinburg. In present day vanguard things have gotten a little bit better. I still deal with people telling me crap but i'm graduating already so it doesn't really matter anymore. Vanguard Academy has some really good features though i mean the teachers here really do care about you.
I see my life after college being able to do whatever i want and maybe having a lot of money. The first thing that i would do when i receive my pay check i would probably buy my own house and set up my furniture, cable, internet, tv's, and much more. Then i would go and buy a new car probably a porsche or a audi. once I have those things then i would save up my money and take a lot of vacations. I would of course support my family with the money i make and that's probably about it.

Life After College - Lexor Andre
There's always been plenty of things that I've always wanted when I grew up, but a majority of the things are pretty pricey. There's always been one car that I've always appreciated, which is a 1965 ford mustang, they range from 25 grand to 35 grand, despite the classical look it is absolutely stunning. Something else that I've been excited for is to have a modern decor in my home, including for my home to look modernized. I never valued old styled houses as much as I have with 21st century appearances. This is more of a mental thing that I would like to have in the future, but I would enjoy if the home had organization and character. I would want a home that is clean and organized. With the first thing being seen is maybe a spiral staircase, if I could offered all these luxurious things in the future. I'm willing to settle with what I have after college, I'm not expecting to come out with a high profiting job from simply earning a “Pre-Med Major”, in reality the real profit comes from after finishing medical school, If everything goes well. I do plan on working for what I want; putting the amount of effort I would like to receive in return. There's a lot of things I would like to have, but not all of it is materialistic. In some cases I would like to have a nice cozy apartment and decorate it the way I would like it. Growing Old is Getting Old..
I never actually got thought id get this far in life, when I was 12 I was never really prepared or taught how to be an adult. Its something i never understood therefore being something I could never understand. Now i do and now that I see the importance of living and being one "functioning member of society. I had dreams and im going to pursue them with life and the money I get after college I plan on buying a home. A car would also have to go and in order for me to be paying all that i'd need a good job. I plan on working for the government. My parents would never let me join the military they said they'd disown me if I ever did. Now I think they were exaggerating but I want a family, and a life im not saying that Veterans or people who join the military don't get that privilege

I have hobbies that I would also like to perfect. Like cooking for example I want to be able to cook cause im already a good grill master in marinating. From all sorts of forms and methods i can learn easy because i’ve been grilling since I was seven. If its one thing that i love just as much as saving people, is cooking for them. So id like to touch up on my cooking techniques and learn from a chef or two. To fully push my limits in making things taste at there best. Overall im lucky to have even got this far. So many possibilities im blessed everyday I wake up. Live life to he fullest.
