Future
Man is an American action-comedy from Seth Rogen that premiered on November
14, 2017 on Hulu. The stories main character is an underachieving janitor,
believing he serves a higher purpose in life, but doesn’t know how to begin. He
is eventually called upon to save the world. Something that made “Future Man” so compelling is the whole
driven premise of the show. Having such an elevated cast and the compelling
chemistry in between all characters of the show brings life and understanding
towards the SYFY base plot. The only downfall towards the show is some of the explicit
content that Seth Rogen always brings to the table. There are many “What if”
situations, due to the whole dilemma of time travel and in some cases the show
has you questioning “Why did they have to do that” moments; other than that the
show is extremely enjoyable having some of the most creative episodes that are amusing
to watch. With characters that have very entertaining back stories, that are
eventually shifted towards half the season; which really brings a spice to the
show. With all that said I would give the show an 8/10, because of some of the explicit
content the show brings and the many times I questioned myself. Monday, January 29, 2018
