Brooklyn Nine-Nine Review

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is an American Police television sitcom that premiered on Fox on September 17, 2013. The show revolves around Jake Peralta, an immature, yet talented detective. Working as one of the top detectives in the New York City Precinct “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”. The ensemble of characters share different traits, but all show the same heart to serve and protect the people. Every character has some comedic punchline, yet there are characters that definitely stand out then their peers. Joe Lo Truglio (Charles Boyle), Terry Crews (Terry Jeffords), and Andy Samberg (Jake Peralta) have some of the best lines and give the show a brighter light. These characters always seem to bring a radiant glow that has me glued to watch more. The show’s plot represents the typical cop sitcom and personally they can do more, but some episodes seem to represent the “regular day at the office” type of episodes; meaning that not every episode is action packed. In some cases the episodes plot is based on taking care of Andre Braugher’s (Captain Raymond Holt) dog. Joe Lo Truglio’s character is probably one of the best characters in a sitcom, due to his absurdity that makes him so entertaining. The notable Terry Crews, of course brings some  of the best comedic lines as usual. Overall this show is great, but it lacks a steady repetition of entertainment, there has been some episodes that have had me want to exit Hulu and watch something else, not because the episode was “bad”, but do to not being able to hook me as many as the other episodes have done. I would give this show a 8 out of 10, due to the standout characters.
